Mimosa Mysterium 2021

There is no need to rush to create a wine like Mysterium. That’s why on November 25th, Bernhard, Lourens and Didi sat down at a table in Montagu. The various wine samples ( Shiraz , Mourvèdre , Grenache ) were tasted and evaluated without any time pressure. The quality was impressive, a fantastic 2020 vintage! The blending of the individual grape varieties required a lot of time and peace. We were thrilled with the result and the Mysterium is now in the warehouse ready for delivery. Convince yourself of the beautiful and well-rounded wine in the style of a Rhône Blend but from South Africa at the Wine & Dine and the tasting in Seengen.

The wine is now in the fruit phase. On the nose notes of blueberries and raspberries, fynbos, black pepper. Blackcurrants, crushed cloves and ground coffee on the palate. Due to the barrel aging, some vanilla with nicely integrated roasted aromas. The fruit, acidity and supple tannins have bound each other almost perfectly. A rich cuvée with good concentration and finesse.

You can give the “mystery” some time. But it clearly shows the storage potential. The wine is also available in a decorative magnum bottle for family and friends dinners .

60% Shiraz , 25% Grenache , 15% Mourvèdre

TIP
The wine can be drunk. We recommend aerating it well, i.e. decanting it so that the aromas can fully develop. It increases with 1 to 2 years of storage.
